Buddy SaintTrumpet War Eagle! My name is Buddy Saint and I am one of the trumpet section leaders for the Auburn University Marching Band. I am a junior trumpet performance major. Playing the trumpet is my strongest passion and I love performing in many ensembles at Auburn including the basketball pep band, symphonic band, and trumpet ensemble as well as the AUMB. I hope to perform professionally in the future and hopefully establish a studio. This is my first year as section leader and I am incredibly exited about the upcoming season. If anyone has any questions please don’t hesitate to shoot me an email or call! |

Kyle FraserTrumpet Hey guys, I’m Kyle Fraser. I’m currently a senior in biomedical sciences and hope to go to dental school after graduating from Auburn. I’ve also gotten a Spanish minor and a music minor. I love doing all kinds of things but spend most of my free time just hanging out with friends. I really enjoy eating and cooking too, granted I’m a lot better at the former than I am the latter! I started my band career at Austin High School in Decatur, AL before coming to the AUMB. I’ve loved my time in the AUMB because nothing can compare to doing the pregame run out of the tunnel at that first game or fanatically screaming for the team surrounded by your second family. Nothing can substitute for the friends I’ve made in the AUMB, and I can’t wait to start this next season! |

Caleb HethcoxTrumpet Hey everyone, my name is Caleb Hethcox and I am a senior majoring in chemistry. I’m from Prattville, AL and attended Prattville High School. In my spare time I like to play guitar and listen to music. The things I like most about the AUMB are the fellowship and friends you may not have ever encountered outside of band, and running out of the tunnel for pregame in front of all the cheering fans isn’t bad either! |

Pedro PazMellophone My name is Pedro Paz and I am in my first year as a section leader in the marching band. This year will mark my fifth year marching with the AUMB. I am a senior in Music Education and play in several ensembles at Auburn. I am looking forward to meeting all of you as that is one of the most memorable parts of being in band for me. I will gladly answer any questions or help you address any concerns regarding being in band or being a music major. I am really looking forward to August. War Eagle! |
Harris GessnerMellophone Hi everyone, my name is Harris Gessner I am from Bob Jones High School in Madison, Alabama, and I will be one of the Mellophone section leaders for the upcoming season. In the fall I will be a junior in Vocal Music Ed. Aside from being in the marching band, I sing in the Chamber Choir, music fraternity Phi Mu Alpha, and serve on staff at Auburn First Baptist Church. My favorite part of the AUMB are the away trips, this is a great opportunity for us to represent the university and show other bands and fans what the AUMB is all about, while giving the members a chance to have fun and spend quality time together. |

Nick VitaTrombone What’s up guys, I’m Nick Vita. I’m originally from Annapolis, Maryland, but this will be my fourth year at Auburn and in the AUMB. The big thing you need to know about me is that I’m in the best section in the band, a.k.a. the trombone section. Some other not-as-important stuff: This will be my second year as section leader, I’m majoring in International Business with a minor in Spanish, and I do some writing for a college football website. Other than that, WDE and DTESS! |

Collin RayBaritone Hello all! My name is Collin Ray, a junior this year majoring in philosophy and political science. I hail from Phenix City, AL, just 30 miles east of here. Like most of you reading this I have a passion for music, and good bit of my free time is spent dealing with it in some respect. I am also involved several different church and service organizations. This is my third year in the AUMB, and I have loved every second of it. We are an organization where we know that our work ethic, professionalism, and performance level will go unmatched, yet still be something where we can all have an awesome time working together. |

Jay YoungTuba My name is Jay Young, and I’m one of the tuba section leaders this year. I’m a Polymer and Fiber Engineering major from Opp, AL. This is my second year as tuba section leader and sixth year overall in the marching band. Yes, I said sixth! The main thing that keeps me coming back is the people. I know it sounds corny, but you really will meet some great people in the band. Enjoy your R.A.T. year! I was a R.A.T. in 2004, and I will always remember my first experience of being a part of the AUMB! |

Shane HawsTuba Hey, y’all! I’m Shane Haws, and I will be one of the Tuba Section Leaders for next year. This will be my first season as a Section Leader and fifth season in the AUMB overall. I’m a 2005 graduate of Brantley High School in Brantley, Alabama and will be graduating from AU in May 2010 with a degree in Secondary Science Education. More than anything, my favorite part of being in the AUMB is being a member of the Auburn Band family. I can remember coming in as a freshman and not knowing anyone, and by the end of the first day, I had already met a ton of lifelong friends! I look forward to meeting all of you in August and making some great memories! War Eagle! |
