The Twenty-first Annual Auburn Honor Band Festival will be held on the Auburn University campus this weekend, February 9-11, 2012. From nearly 850 nominations received from high school band directors, approximately 225 top high school musicians will participate in a weekend of concerts, rehearsals, and social activities. The Festival is hosted by the Auburn University Bands in conjunction with the Department of Music and College of Liberal Arts. Participants were selected for the festival through a competitive online application and their band director’s recommendation. Upon arrival in Auburn, the talented musicians will audition again for chair placement in the three bands, designated as “Wind Ensemble,” “Tiger,” and “Eagle.”
