The application deadline for the 2010 AUMB Marching Honor Band has been extended till Sunday August 29th.  If you are interested be sure to sign up soon!  You can find the link to the application on the Marching Honor Band Page.

Thanks so much to all our participants in our 2010 Symphonic Honor Band Festivals.  In particular, we’d like to congratulate the principal players in both the Junior High/Middle School and High School Wind Symphonies, whom we’ve listed on the Honor Bands webpages.  You are the best of the best in the state, and we are honored to have you participate in our festival.  We look forward to hosting you again soon!

Due to concerns over winter weather, the schedule for this weekend’s Symphonic Honor Band festival has been changed.  Update: Saturday’s schedule has been amended as such:

8:30-11:30am: Honor Band Rehearsals

11:30-1:00pm: Lunch

1:00-4:00pm: Honor Band Rehearsals

4:00-7:30pm: Dinner and Free Time for Honor Band participants

5:30-6:15pm: AU Concert Band dress rehearsal

6:15-7:15pm: AU Symphonic Winds dress rehearsal

7:30pm: AU Concert Band and Symphonic Winds in Concert at the Student Activities Center

The Auburn University Bands welcomes all participants, parents, and directors to the first ever Symphonic Honor Band for Junior High and Middle School Students.  Our participant list, replacement acceptance packets, and a festival schedule can be found on the festival homepage.  Also be sure to read our guest conductor biographies; the Auburn University Bands are proud to welcome Ed Huckeby, Leslie Welker, Jerry Potter, and Larry Cornelius.

The Auburn University Bands is proud to announce the names of the accepted students for our First Annual Symphonic Honor Band for Junior High and Middle School students and our 19th Annual Symphonic Honor Band for High School Students.  The list of names, by instrument, can be found on the Junior High Symphonic Honor Band page and High School Symphonic Honor Band page, respectively.
