Hello to our 2009 AUMB Rookie Auburn Tigers!  We’ve just updated the R.A.T. Program page for the 2009 season.  It’s full of need-to-know information for any first-year member of the Auburn University Marching Band.  Check it out and and learn about your new Drum Majors and other student leaders, read up on our most frequently asked questions, and become a Fan of our R.A.T. Program Facebook Page or read our Blog here on the site!  We’re psyched for this coming fall, and hope you are too! WAR EAGLE!

Those interested in participating in any of our Summer Camps for High School or Junior High students may now download an application to mail in.  Visit the Summer Camps page and click on the appropriate program to learn more about each camp and how to apply.

If you have iTunes installed on your computer, you can now listen to the 2009 All-State Festival Concert on iTunesU!  iTunes is available as a free download from Apple for both Windows and Macintosh.  For full details, follow this link.

For those who cannot join us in person for the 2009 All-State Band Festival, the College of Liberal Arts is pleased to provide live streaming video of this year’s Festival Concert on Saturday, April 18th.  Follow this link for instructions on how to stream the live performance on your home computer.  The Middle School and High School Blue Bands will perform at 11:00 am, and the High School White and Red Bands will perform at 1:30 pm.  We encourage you to test your connection prior to the performance to avoid any technical difficulties.  The Auburn University Bands looks forward to seeing you either online, or in person at the Opelika Performing Arts Center (map) on Saturday.

The Auburn University Symphonic Winds would like to invite you to their 2009 Spring Concert.  Carmen, which includes works from Bizet’s signature opera, will be held on Friday, April 17th at the Opelika Performing Arts Center as a part of the Alabama All-State Festival.  For more details and a map, please refer to the full post.  We hope to see you there! The 2009 Auburn Tigers A-Day Spring Scrimmage will be held on April 18, 2009.  As usual, the current Auburn University Marching Band will be there to support our team, and we would like to invite any prospective AUMB members to come out and perform with the band as well!  Keep reading for more details. The Auburn University Bands would like to invite you to our two featured concerts this weekend, as a part of the Auburn University Symphonic Honor Band Festival.  First, our own Symphonic Band will perform for our host concert on Saturday evening, 7:30pm, at the Student Activities Center. Then, on Sunday afternoon at 1pm, our festival participants will perform in our Festival Finale Concert, also at the Student Activities Center.  We hope to see you there!
