The Auburn University Symphonic Winds and the Robertsdale High School Symphonic Band will perform Saturday, May 1 at 2 p.m. in Faith Family Fellowship Church in Spanish Fort. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for students, and children under 12 will be admitted free. Proceeds from the concert will be used to establish the Sarah Anderson Memorial Scholarship. The Pi chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi is holding a 5K and Fun Run to support the Sarah Anderson Memorial Scholarship on April 24. Full details can be found here on the KK? Pi chapter website.

A joint concert by the AU Symphonic Band and Opelika High School Band will be held in memory of Sarah Anderson on Monday, January 25, 7:30pm, at the Opelika Performing Arts Center at Opelika High School.  Admission is free, but donations are encourages and will be used to start a Sarah Anderson Memorial Scholarship.  A Google Map and the full press release follow after the break. The date of Kappa Kappa Psi’s Five Guys fundraiser has been changed to to Tuesday, January 26th from 5-9pm. 10% of all purchases made that evening will automatically be donated to fund the Sarah Anderson Memorial Scholarship.  We hope you come support this worthy cause!

The Auburn University Bands lost one of its finest members on Tuesday, November 10th, when Sarah Anderson tragically lost her life in an automobile accident on Interstate 85.  Sarah was a piccolo player in the Auburn University Marching Band and Symphonic Band.

"It’s a tragic loss, particularly when she was so young and full of vitality. Sarah Anderson was the epitome of the Auburn Band student–dedicated, hardworking, self-motivated. She always maintained a positive attitude no matter what the situation. Smiles always brightened her face, just as she brightened the lives of everyone around her. She will be greatly missed. Our prayers are with the family at this time."
