Daniel Fischer is currently serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant with the Auburn University Bands. Prior to his arrival here in Auburn, Mr. Fischer served as the Band and Orchestra Director at Arcadia High School and Band Director at Ingleside Middle School from 2010 – 2013 in Scottsdale, AZ. Under his direction, the music ensembles at both schools performed actively in the community and earned numerous district and statewide honors/awards.
In addition to teaching, Mr. Fischer worked actively as a brass and visual clinician, guest conductor, and adjudicator around the Phoenix Valley. He was fortunate to work with the Phoenix Youth Symphony and various high school band programs.
Mr. Fischer received his Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Ottawa University and Mesa Community College, graduating Magna Cum Laude. While at Ottawa and MCC he played trumpet in the concert bands, trumpet ensemble, brass quintet, and Sonic Brass (community brass band). Mr. Fischer also was fortunate to a member with The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps from 2005 – 2008.
Mr. Fischer’s professional affiliations include the National Association for Music Education, the Arizona Music Educators Association, and the Arizona Band and Orchestra Directors Association.
