Joseph Crittenden

Joey Crittenden is the Librarian for the Auburn University Department of Music and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Music Education at Auburn University. Mr. Crittenden is an alumnus of Florida State University where he performed as a member of the Florida State University Marching Chiefs, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Orchestra. At Florida State, he studied Saxophone under Thomas Giles, Chris Sacco, Professor Patrick Meighan, and Dr. Katherine Weintraub.

Mr. Crittenden has served as an instructor for Homewood High School’s mellophone section and saxophone Section in addition to serving as the primary instructor for the middle school’s beginner saxophones in 2018. He has also served as the staff arranger for Homewood High School Patriot Marching Band since 2016 with arrangements performed in Philadelphia, PA for the 6abc Dunkin’ Donuts Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. He now writes music and drill for marching bands across the state of Alabama.
