War Eagle! My name is Emily-Anne Nguyen and I am honored and excited to serve for a second year as one of your AUMB Drum Majors! I am an upcoming senior from Auburn, Alabama studying Music Education. This is my fourth year in the AUMB and my third year on the leadership team, including a year as tuba section leader. Other than the AUMB, I am a member of the Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Pep Band, and Tuba/Euphonium Ensemble. I am also a member of the AU Music Ambassadors, National Band Association, Music Teachers National Association, and NAfME. Off-campus, I am also an active member of the University Church of Christ.

The AUMB has become a family to me and I am so thankful to be a part of such a talented and dedicated group of students. I have made my closest friends in this organization and learned so many important lessons such as teamwork, self-discipline, organization, and leadership. My favorite part of any game day is singing the Alma Mater with my wonderful band family, but no feeling compares to the rush you get when jogging out of the tunnel into Jordan Hare Stadium!

If you have any questions about band or Auburn in general, please don’t hesitate to contact me through email or Facebook. I cannot wait to meet each of you and welcome you to the loveliest village on the plains!!

Outside of the AUMB, I have participated in numerous ensembles including Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band, AU Singers Band, and Trumpet Ensemble. I am also a member of the Delta Psi Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity, the Alabama Trumpet Guild, and the National Band Association.

Coming to Auburn and being in the AUMB was the greatest decision I have ever made. I have made lifelong friends through this organization and have certainly learned the value of hard work! If you have any questions, please feel free to email me or find me on Facebook! I can’t wait to see you all at Preseason Camp! War Eagle!

Ransom Creech

Ransom Creech

War Eagle! My name is Ransom Creech, and it is an honor and privilege to serve as one of your 2017 Drum Majors. I am from Oak Mountain High School in Birmingham, Alabama and am currently pursuing my degree in Civil Engineering. I am also an Assistant Director of Auburn’s University Programs Council, Speakers and Comedians Committee. Although I’ll be on the ladder this season, I am a horn player by trade and served as one of the horn section leaders last season.

When I came to Auburn, I decided to do band because I loved it in high school and had always watched in awe at what the AUMB could do. It was certainly a decision I took time to consider, but I also saw it is a natural next step for me. Three years later, my experience in the AUMB has defined my wonderful time at Auburn. It has given me so much, from my best friends to some of the most memorable experiences of my life, all the while teaching me valuable life lessons such as the importance of hard work and integrity. I sincerely look forward to you experiencing these same things while we work together to make this University and its students and alumni proud. If you have any questions about anything Auburn or college related please do not hesitate to reach out and ask via email or FaceBook! War Eagle!

This organization has blessed me with lifelong friends, incredible experiences, and invaluable life lessons that have not only made me a better leader and musician, but have also made me a better person. Warrrr Eagle! Hey, my name is Do’Nyal Webb and I can’t wait to serve another year as one of your R.A.T. Leaders for the 2017-2018 season! I am a Senior majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Business and Non-Profit studies. This will be my fourth year marching with the Auburn University Marching Band (known to many as the AUMB). I’m in the tuba section, but I also play percussion. I’m a sister of Tau Beta Sigma, National Honorary Band Service Sorority, and a sister for Sigma Alpha Iota, International Music Fraternity for Women. I’m from Harris County, Georgia where I graduated from Harris County High School in 2014!

I’m currently the only student from my high school to attend Auburn and join the AUMB. So I’ll never forget coming to Auburn and leaving my friends, family, and hometown behind. It was very terrifying and I wasn’t sure what to expect! However, I was welcomed to such a big family where I’ve made so many friends, enjoyed so many priceless experiences, and found a home away from home! Being apart of such a prestigious organization that embodies everything Auburn is one of the many reasons I love the AUMB, but the impact it has had on me thus far is something I cherish and glad to keep with me forever.

I’m so excited to meet you and look forward to having you in August at Preseason camp! Don’t forget to fill out your intent form and I assure you that the time you’ll spend at Auburn and with the AUMB will be such a treasured experience. If you have any questions, concerns, or just want to know more about the AUMB or Auburn, feel free to email or find me on Facebook!

The AUMB has provided me with my greatest memories and incredible skills that I will be able use in any aspect of my life. Most importantly, the AUMB has provided me with a family—The Auburn Family.

I am looking forward to meeting each and everyone one of you at Preseason Camp this fall as we continue to grow the Auburn Band Family. The time you spend in the AUMB will be worth every single minute! So many great things are in store for the AUMB in the future! I am a currently a senior dual-majoring in Communication and Marketing! I am originally from Orlando, Florida, graduating from Lake Brantley High School. Emma Hale

Emma Hale

War Eagle Hey!

My name is Emma Hale and I am so honored and thrilled to be serving as one of your 2017 Auburn University Marching Band R.A.T. Leaders. I am a junior majoring in Biomedical Sciences, Pre-Medicine, and minoring Spanish. This will be my third year marching as a member of the Piccolo section. In addition, I am a brother of Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Band Fraternity. I also participate in Campus Band, where I play the flute, and Alpha Epsilon Delta, the Pre-Health Honor Society.

I am originally from St. Augustine, FL, where I graduated from Bartram Trail High School in 2015. Being 6 hours away from Auburn means that very few people attend Auburn University and there is only 1 other band member for my high school. I know how daunting this process can be, but that is what the R.A.T. Leaders are for. On my first visit to Auburn University, in the fall of 2014, I saw the band perform at my first Auburn football game. Immediately, I knew it was where I belonged. I was not wrong. The AUMB is an incredibly close and supportive family that promotes and instills the values that Auburn University holds so dear. As the epitome of The Auburn Family, the AUMB develops perseverance, dedication, teamwork, a good attitude, and unwavering effort.

Auditioning for the AUMB continues to be one of the best decisions of my college career, and I hope you will feel the same after your first season. I cannot wait to meet all of you and introduce you to some of my favorite people in August. Get working on your Membership Intent Forms and know that we are so excited to have you here. This will be the experience of a lifetime. Please do not hesitate to email me or message me on Facebook if you have any questions, concerns or just want to know more.
