Jonathan Corona - Email
War Eagle! My name is Jonathan Corona, and I am honored to return for my second year as drum major for the 2016 Auburn University Marching Band. I am from Rome, Georgia and pursuing my Master's Degree in Community Planning with a concentration in transportation. I'm a recent graduate of Auburn's College of Architecture, Design & Construction with a B.S. in Environmental Design. I previously served as a proud member of the trombone section and, subsequently, a drum a major for the past 3 seasons.
In addition to being a part of the AUMB, I have participated in the Auburn Jazz Ensemble, served as an Assistant Director for Freshman Leadership Programs, an SOS Transfer Student Orientation Leader, the President of Auburn Mentoring Program, the President of the College of Architecture, and a National Officer for Silver Wings. All of these experiences, as well as many others, have allowed me to discover my passion for leadership, character-building, and teamwork.
I didn’t begin my college marching band career until my sophomore year, so I found several opportunities to engage myself on campus throughout my freshman year. However, joining the AUMB was absolutely the best decision I’ve made since choosing Auburn as my home. My unique experience at Auburn and being a part of an organization that exemplifies the qualities of Auburn men and women has challenged me to develop not only better music and marching skills, but it has also helped to enhance my character. I cannot wait to start another great season! I look forward to seeing all of you at preseason camp! If you have any questions about the marching band or Auburn in general, please don’t hesitate to contact me via e-mail or find me on Facebook. War Eagle!

I graduated from Chilton County High School Clanton, AL in 2012. Since coming to Auburn I have been a brother of Phi Mu Alpha, singing in the AU choirs and also very active at Church of the Highlands here at the Auburn campus. I also perform in the basketball pep band.
Auburn is truly the greatest place in the world and coming to school here is one of the best experiences you will ever have. Audition for the Auburn University Marching Band. Being a member of the AUMB is worth every minute spent working to be a part of one of the oldest and famous organizations on campus. I cannot wait to meet each and every one of you.
