Lindsee Washington is currently pursuing her Master of Music Education Degree at Auburn University while working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Auburn University Bands. She is originally from Pearl, Mississippi and is a 2018 graduate of Pearl High School.

Prior to attending Auburn, Lindsee received her Associate of Arts Degree from Hinds Community College in Raymond Mississippi. While attending HCC, she was acknowledged as a Hinds CC President’s Scholar for academics while holding the title of Principal Clarinet of the Hinds Community College Wind Ensemble and Clarinet Section Leader of the Hinds Eagle Marching Band.  Lindsee was also awarded the HCC Outstanding Student of the Year Award in Music and was the recipient of multiple Excellence in Performance Awards.  She participated in various woodwind chamber ensembles while attending Hinds Community College and served as an orchestra member at First Baptist Church Jackson, located in Jackson, Mississippi.

Lindsee transferred to University of Mississippi during the fall of 2020, and became a member of the LOU Symphony Orchestra as principal clarinet, the University of Mississippi Wind Ensemble and the Ole Miss “Pride of the South” Marching Band, where she served as Clarinet Section Leader. She participated in multiple woodwind chamber ensembles including University of Mississippi’s woodwind quartet, woodwind quintet, and clarinet choir.

Lindsee studied clarinet under Dr. Michael Rowlett while attending The University of Mississippi and taught a studio of middle and high school students in North Mississippi.  During this time, she also served as Sergeant at Arms and as President of the Alpha Omega Chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota Music Fraternity. Lindsee also served as a woodwind tech with the internationally recognized Mississippi Lions All State Band, which holds over thirty-five international championships.  She has experience working with band students from various programs within the state of Mississippi including Pearl High School, North Pontotoc High School, Corinth High School, and Lewisburg High School.

Lindsee holds professional and academic memberships with Pi Kappa Lambda, National Honor Society, Sigma Alpha Iota, Phi Kappa Phi, and National Educators Association.
