Short Bio
War Eagle everyone! My name is Michaela Hilley, and I am honored to serve as one of your Drum Majors for the 2026 AUMB. I am from Waxhaw, North Carolina, and I graduated from Charlotte Catholic High School in 2025. This year, I will be a sophomore majoring in Aerospace Engineering. This will be my second season in the AUMB, and it will be my first as drum major. I marched as a piccolo in the 2025 season. Additionally, I have performed with the Auburn University Symphonic Winds, and I am a sister of the band service sorority Tau Beta Sigma.
The AUMB has provided me with an incredible family away from home, and I truly believe that being a part of the AUMB has not only improved my college experience, but it has also made me a better person. Becoming a member of the AUMB has been one of the most enjoyable and rewarding experiences of my life. I highly encourage everyone who has an interest in the AUMB to audition, as I can attest that this organization is more than simply a marching band, it is a family where everyone helps inspire one another to be the best version of themselves.
